Lost Hills Union School District’s Administration / modernization for Classroom Building 100 at Thomas Middle School encompassed preconstruction and construction services for accessibility building upgrades, supplement existing fire alarm / electrical system and new storefront entry at vestibule.  Restroom modernization and alterations included new toilet fixtures, accessories, partitions and signage at selected restroom locations.   

Site improvements consisted of a new parking lot and accessible ramp at main entry.  The site received new landscape areas adjacent to the existing building.  

Lost Hills is located 42 miles west-northwest of Bakersfield and stands on the east bank of the California Aqueduct.   Founded in July 1910 when two groundwater drillers accidently discovered the Lost Hills Oil Field which is the sixth largest remaining reserves in CA.  With a population of 2,412, approximately 75% of the residents are engaged in Agricultural or Oil Production positions.  The Lost Hills Union School District operates two public  schools, K-8, serving 510 students.
